Description

NGC 3938 is a classic face on spiral galaxy - SA(s)c - at the upper right of this image. Left center is NGC 4013 - Sb edge-on - galaxy. In the lower portion of the image is Arp 62 (APG 62) which is really a pair of interacting galaxies. Thee are a number of other background galaxies in the image that can only be seen in the full size image. Also, there are a number of distant Quasars - the furthest has a large redshift of 2.205. NGC 3938 is about 48 million light years distant and NGC 4013 is about 49 million light years distant. These objects and some of the brighter stars are identified in the annotated image. Horizontal FOV is approximately 88 arc minutes. Full size image scale is 1.76 arcsec/pix.
